1st Team Squad

Shaun Chapman

Shaun Chapman

Nickname: Chappers, Flappers, Toilet Duck
Age: 25
Position: Goalkeeper
One of the clubs longest serving players approaching near 10 years, having spent his youth days playing at Hassocks. An agile shot stopper and is one of the veterans of the 1st team this year at 25! Loves the club as much as he does Stella and will always talk to you about ‘that save’ away to Old V’s and how he is the best ‘keeper to don the gloves at LFC!

Jay Dodd

Jay Dodd

Nickname: Doddsy
Age: 20
Position: Left Back
Doddsy also joined LFC straight from youth football having played at Burgess Hill. Having operated on either wing in his first couple of seasons Doddsy is now an accomplished full back with both feet as good as eachother but prefers the left side. Small in stature but quick with the ball he has an excellent delivery from wide and occasionally finds himself in shooting positions following his mazy runs.
He's due to attend his first LFC annual tour this year which to be honest no one is looking forward to as this lad is an absolute animal after a few too many jaegar bombs!

Brandon Fugl

Brandon Fugl

Nickname: Branno
Age: 17
Position: Right Mid
Branno is in his 2nd season with LFC and makes the jump from the reserves after some impressive performances last year. A young energetic winger who has more than a few tricks up his sleeve and plays with confidence above his years.

Lee Goodeve

Lee Goodeve

Nickname: Big Lee, Lee Mac
Age: 30
Position: Centre Back
Big Lee is in his first season with the Swans having plied his trade at Cowfold last season. Spent pre-season playing for the reserves up front until his powerful attributes were recognised by the gaffer and now sees Big Lee provide a wise head at the back. Reads the game extremely well and is very strong in the air, on top this Lee is an all-round top bloke.

Derek Gray

Derek Gray

Nickname: Del
Age: 30
Position: Right Back
Despite his advancing years Del is the most cultured player at the club and has everyone in awe whenever he drops a trademark shoulder to glide past opponents. Been with the club for 6 years and names Rangers Boys Club as a former youth team player. Predominantly a central midfielder but injuries have seen him fill in at right back of late where he has looked even more cultured, many of us are convinced that Del has played for Scotland at some point in his career!

Adam Horne

Adam Horne

Nickname: Horney
Age: 22
Position: Centre Mid
Horney is in his first season at the club having played for Burgess Hill Reserve team 2 years ago whilst studying at Sussex University. Back at Uni, Horney provides the creative spark in the middle of the park. Slows the game down to his pace, moves the ball around and picks passes some of us can’t even see! Also lethal from 30 yards out and is starting to build a reputation for only scoring screamers.

Liam Hunter

Liam Hunter

Nickname: Hunter
Age: 22
Position: Striker
1st season at the club signing from county league side Oakwood. Joins the club along with other fellow former Three Bridges youth team players. Old fashion centre forward who puts himself about and usually gets rewarded for his hard work. Cocky in his ways and a joker in the dressing room whilst its fair to say he also loves a good moan!

Matthew McDonald

Matthew McDonald

Nickname: Macca, Scooby Doo, Monkgel
Age: 22
Position: Centre Back
A tall steady centre half who isn’t blessed with pace but his size means he is dominant forec in the air, committed to the tackle. Macca joined LFC 5 years ago having finished his youth playing days at Burgess Hill, and has never looked back since. Being a large part of the social scene, completing 3 annual tours.

Frederick Peacock

Frederick Peacock

Nickname: P.K, Rick, Freddy
Age: 29
Position: Striker
Probably the most complete footballer in the club and can play pretty much anywhere but is most effective up top. A strong, powerful centre forward who can cross and shoot with both feet at great accuracy. Growing up in Norwood and having played for South London as a youth, he lists Scott Parker, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Steve Kabba as just some of the kids he used to have a kick about with!

Liam Pears

Liam Pears

Nickname: Pearsy, Ferret
Age: 24
Position: Left Mid
What a find this fella was, joined the club 4 years ago following the folding of Nutley’s 1st team. Convinced into coming pre-season training by a half cut Si Battrum, we still can't believe he turned up but we are glad he did! Rapid and committed to the cause, Pearsy gets absolutely nailed in every game he plays, drawing fouls because of his never say die attitude. The ball somehow tends to stick to his feet when it looks like he’s lost it but one thing must be said, his shooting needs some working on!

Luke Pullinger

Luke Pullinger

Nickname: Pully, Pullers
Age: 20
Position: Right Mid
Former Worthing youth team player and joined during the 2007-08 double winning season. What can be said about this lad is that firstly he just loves running, secondly he is pretty good at it. The quickest player in the squad Pully is rapid and torments many a full back week in week out with his blistering pace. Weighs in with his fair share of goals but often only runs in straight lines and is very much reminiscent to a Pro Evo footballer!

Thomas Rabbetts

Thomas Rabbetts

Nickname: Bettsy, Betts, Ratter
Age: 15
Position: Centre Mid
Following the folding of Scaynes Hill’s first team 2 years ago Bettsy had several sides sniffing around for his signature but he chose the mighty Swans. A combative midfielder, who loves a challenge, wins everything in the air and probably the most consistent player in the team wearing his heart on his sleeve week in, week out. For all the great things you can say about Betts as a footballer his time keeping is shocking and will probably contribute to at least half of the end of season fines pot!

Jack Ranson

Jack Ranson

Nickname: Rano, Darnell, Albino
Age: 22
Position: Right Back
Another player to have seen the highs and lows in the 1st team within his 6 year stint. A steady right back having joined from Three Bridges Youth and captained the side in the Senior Charity Cup Final victory last season in Si Corless’ absence. Last season Manager’s Player and part of the double winning side of 2007-08. Good crosser of the ball but also prone to a few dodgy back passes which Chappers loves to deal with!

Dominic Reason

Dominic Reason

Nickname: Tramp, Pikey, Student, Tank
Age: 21
Position: Centre Back
Dom is Lindfield through and through, he even plays cricket for them! Forefront of the banter in the changing room when he is back from being a tax dodging student at Oxford (Brookes). A placement year meant he was available for the of whole season last year and picked up the Players Player award for his commanding performances at the heart of defence. Completed his first tour last year and is commonly known as Tank for his drinking attributes as well as the fact that this guy is now MASSIVE!

Alex Ternouth

Alex Ternouth

Nickname: Touth
Age: 23
Position: Centre Back
A summer signing from local rivals Hassocks, Toothy has slotted straight into the banter in the first team and it certainly doesn’t feel like this is his first season at the club! Although not the tallest of centre halves, Al is still strong in the air combined with his pace and reading of the game he is a one of the reasons as to why the side has been a lot tighter at the back this year. He does however have incredibly bowed legs (worse than walshy's!!!) and has a suspect earring which have led many to question which side Al bats on. All fears have been put to rest though in recent weeks as Toothy is ridiculously in love with his bird, talking about her constantly and how good he is at giving her foot massages!!!

Aaron Walsh

Aaron Walsh

Nickname: Walshy, Bow Legs
Age: 22
Position: Striker
A classic example of a player rising through the ranks at LFC. Walsha started at the bottom when he joined the club and rose up the teams season by season. Unfortunately he knows of his goal scoring ability and isn’t shy about telling you about it. He scores taps ins, screamers and minging goals, basically he knows where the back of the net is! Scored over 50 goals in the double winning season and has hit the ground running this year, scoring in every game. This season has also see Aaron reach the very top at LFC becoming fist team skipper. The only downside to this is that his guns are too small for the armband!!! Still one of the most annoying players to play against and there has never been an opposing player to like him. He loves it!!

David Webb

David Webb

Nickname: Webby
Age: 28
Position: Centre Mid
A committed central midfield player who signed from Heath Pilgrims this summer. Strong in the air and puts himself about whilst he can also be used as an emergency centre forward but he will be the first to admit not for a full 90!
